Documents required for opening an account

In addition to the account opening form, the client must submit the following documents to the company to open the relevant account:

Individual/joint account

• ID/Passport copy (verified and signed by the broker)
  
• Proof of recent address (eg, telephone bill within three months, rates, etc.) (verified and signed by the broker)
  
• A copy of the Hong Kong bank account certificate (eg bank account, passbook, statement) (verified and signed by the broker)

Company account

Company incorporated in Hong Kong is required provide the following documents:

• Certified true copy of Business Registration
  
• Certified true copy of the Business Incorporation Certificate
  
• Certified true copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association
  
• Certified true copy of shareholders List
  
• Certified true copy of directors' List
  
• Authorizing letter from the Company
  
• Board Resolution for Account Opening
  
• Certified true copy of the ID Card/Passport and latest 3 months address proof for all the shareholders, Directors and authorized persons

Company registered outside Hong Kong is required to provide the following documents:

• Certified true copy of Business Registration
  
• Certified true copy of the Business Incorporation Certificate
  
• Certified true copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association
  
• Certified true copy of shareholders List
  
• Certified true copy of directors' List
  
• Authorizing letter from the Company
  
• Board Resolution for Account Opening
  
• Certified true copy of the ID Card/Passport and latest 3 months address proof for all the shareholders, Directors and authorized persons
• Certificate of Incumbency (Issued within last 6 months)
  
• Certificate of Good Standing (Issued within last 6 months)
• A Director's Declaration incorporating or annexing an Ownership Chart describing the intermediate layers for companies with multiple layers in ownership structure)
  

Opening a securities account typically takes two to three business days, after approval and establishment , The company will notify the new account by email that it will take effect.
